Attention Parents and Teenagers:
Camelot Volunteer Fire and Rescue is now
allowing teenagers of 15 years and older to attend training, which
are held on every Wednesday from 7:00 PM to about 9:30 PM. Training
will be held at the department on Gibbs Sprawl, unless we are having
pump training, at which time it will be held at a field in the
district. Some of the things training consists of are learning
teamwork and communication, how to run the pumps on the fire trucks,
station detail, how to take care of your gear before and after its
usage, scene safety, and medical and fire scene details. Parents
are welcome to attend training whenever they are able to come.
Every step is taken to insure the safety of every member of the
department. Each training session has a minimum of one certified
EMT on the scene at all times. Even when every safety measure is
taken, accidents can occur. If you choose to allow your child to
attend training with our department, please acknowledge you are
releasing any liability of the Camelot Fire Department in the event
of an accidental injury.
If you have any questions
about becoming a member of our department, please call the station
at 656-0888 and speak to one of our personnel.
